Mr. Robert Lorenzini
Mr. Lorenzini founded, and served as Chairman and CEO of Siltec Corporation, the first company to manufacture three-inch diameter, zero-dislocation silicon crystals for integrated circuit use. Under his guidance, Siltec grew to over $50 million in sales and was acquired by Mitsubishi Metals in 1986.
In 1988, Mr. Lorenzini co-founded SunPower Corporation, a company specializing in high efficiency solar cells capable of being mass produced at low cost. In 2004, the company was merged into Cypress Semiconductor, Inc.
Mr. Lorenzini is an active private investor and co-founder of "Band of Angels", a leading Silicon Valley angel investing network. He has also served as a Director and Chairman for various startups over the past 35 years in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Lorenzini holds both BS and MS degrees in Material Science from Stanford University.
